EXCiPACT heading for first AGM

EXCiPACT is entering a very exciting time, reports Iain Moore, chair of the project.

In January the organisation will hold its first General Assembly at which the EXCiPACT Association Asbl will be formally formed as a not-for-profit organisation registered in Belgium. The members of the association will be the founding partners with IPEC Europe, IPEC-Americas, FECC and PQG.

At the same time we have concluded qualification of a third certifying body - DQS GmbH - to join mdc and SGS (see our article here). The latter two certifying bodies are reporting a lot of interest in the scheme and have been booking up a number of audits. We estimate that we will end the year close to the 2013 target of 10 certificates and there are at least that many audits already in advanced stages of being planned for early 2014.

The latest training courses in Brussels and Washington DC have been so well attended that we have already opened two new sessions in both cities for 2014. Check the website (www.excipact.org) for details.

We are looking to review all feedback on the scheme and need to make some minor adjustments to the EXCiPACT standards, so if you are interested in helping with these revisions please get in contact with the secretariat (info@excipact.org).
